STROUMBOULIS Ltd contributes to a project of critical importance for the energy context in our country.
Specifically, the Company supplied and delivered, in line with the project requirements and the strict specifications set by the Contractor, 695 tons of Quartz sand, certified according to the European standard EN 13242, for the insulation layer at the bottom of the 3rd (under construction) LNG Tank in the Central LNG Station at Revithoussa island in the Saronic Gulf.
It should be noted that the construction of the 3rd LNG Tank – capacity of 95,000 cubic meters and cost of 98 million Euros – in at the last stage of its implementation and has been taken on by J&P Avax, on behalf of the National Natural Gas System Operator (DESFA) S.A.
The project is of critical importance for the energy context in Greece and will significantly increase the storage capacity and energy autonomy of our country, allowing for greater flexibility in the selection of suppliers and lower natural gas purchase cost.
